Here Is A Link You Don't Want To Forget!
We just added a Live Connect Provider Feature List on
our website under Live Connect which lists the features
supported by each Live Connect booking engine. Use
this link.
Missing TSA Secure Flight Program Data in a
PNR May Become Costly. If you haven't
set up the Merge to PNR formats in ClientBase, we urge
you to do it quickly. Beginning Nov. 1, 2010, TSA has
announced that it will reject passenger reservations
that do not contain all required Secure Flight elements.
At a minimum, your customer may be denied access to
a boarding pass until the information is provided and
processed at the airport which could result in your
customers missing a flight. Airlines are also considering
some form of debit memos, reservation cancellation and
inhibiting ticket issuance. It's so simple to
avoid any problems by adding all the required data (Birthday,
Full Name, etc.) in ClientBase and use our Merge to
PNR to move the data to the record. Click
for GDS Formats which can be setup and used in ClientBase.
Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey Ride
Worth The Wait. The ride in Universal's
theme park in Orlando is well worth the wait, but tell
your customers they can cut the posted wait time to
less than half by bearing left and getting in the singles
line. The wait time was posted as 90 minutes and we
were on the ride in 20. You sit in individual compartments
anyway so you don't know and REALLY DON'T
CARE who's next to you once the 4 minute ride
starts. Remember Universal is available as a Live Connect
via VAX and Sabre Vacations in the US.
Do Us All a Favor - Especially Your Infrequent
Flyers - Condition Them For The Airport Experience.
Last Saturday was a zoo at Phoenix Airport. I don't
normally travel on Saturdays, and will try to remember
to avoid them in the future. Dads who usually travel
on business were not used to flying with their families
(brings back old memories). The airlines have done us
all in by making checking bags costly so there's more
carry-on bags and Moms had too much to carry. And little
kids who had no business pulling their bags were leaving
them in places that others didn't expect to trip over
them. When it came to security, there was too much stuff
to unload and take off. How many times can someone step
back and take off another piece of jewelry or pull out
a cell phone with a puzzled look. Only nice thing is
the planes are not full because the passengers got left
in security! You know your customers and which ones
don't experience airports very often so prepare them
what to expect. They will appreciate it.
Use Your Remarks To Remind Them About Carry-On
Limits. Set up an optional Branch Remark to
remind your infrequent travelers about the carry-on
limits. You can create these for PNRs and Res Card Invoices.
Regent Seven Seas - Live Connect.
Regent has its own booking site which supports Live
Connect. It is complete. We log you in, pass your data
to it and bring back the entire trip including itinerary,
pre/post hotels, transfers, insurance and air. You can
even go back in and book their free shore excursions
and import those as well into ClientBase. It creates
a very complete professional-looking itinerary including
all the details. It isn't intended for those of you
that insist on calling. However, we are hoping that
in the future it will allow you to bring back the details
of your air when it is available. Here
is a link to the setup instructions.
