Happy Holidays Everybody.
Start Planning for Next Year. All of us at Trams and the rest of the Sabre Travel Network family hope you enjoy the holidays and we wish you the best of luck in the New Year. We are planning a big event for you in May. Technology & Marketing University (TMU) will be at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Set aside the 17th – 19th of May. There will be classes for everyone, regardless of the shopping, booking, GDS and CRM tools you rely on. The classes are currently being finalized and will be announced in late January. If you are using any of our Sabre Red products, send at least one person to get valuable product training. Want to Make Someone Happy?
Was My Commission Received? If your company uses Trams Back Office, you can find answers to your own questions, making your accountant very happy. Go to your Agent Profile in ClientBase and look in the Travel History section. You can see your transactions and the commission status. Closed under Vendor means the commission has been received. This is available in both ClientBase Windows and ClientBase Online. This works because you can see the receipts posted by your accountant in Trams Back Office.

As Requested.
Have you noticed that ClientBase Windows in 3.6 has Level 3 queries for Activities and Res Card Managers? Other new features include:

  • Alarms in ClientBase Online
  • Ability to color code profiles in ClientBase Windows
  • Ability to add the name of a significant other in ClientBase Windows on the General Tab for address use
  • Reminders work with Outlook in all versions of ClientBase
  • Added New Profile Wizard for ClientBase Online
  • Addition of the new Dashboard Manager in ClientBase Windows

Time to Get Started
Birthdays and Live Connect Now that you're storing Birthdays in customer profiles, you can save a lot of time by also using ClientBase for your insurance bookings. If you haven't tried it, go to Help and type in the name of your insurance company. You're sure to find instructions for a Live Connect to them. You can also go to our web site for a list of the insurance companies.

Don't forget about TouchBase. If you don't have it and hence have not seen the benefits of it, we have a Christmas special for you! Enjoy a free TouchBase trial period. You can cancel anytime. Sabre GDS Users Can Now Use Host Commands
Host commands allow agents using the Sabre Red Workspace to issue commands to call up and then move profile data directly from ClientBase into a PNR. Instead of "N*-passenger name", you type "CBN*-passenger name". The result is the same except that the data is coming from ClientBase Windows or ClientBase Online rather than Sabre Stars (Sabre profile storage area). If you are using the Sabre Red Workspace and want to try host commands, send an email to Sarani.Gaines@trams.com. This host command function is currently in beta but we welcome users who would like a sneak peek.

Change at Trams Will Benefit Our Customers
We are migrating our billing and support to a new system. The new system offers a better billing format, making your statements much easier to read. In the coming weeks, keep an eye out for an email explaining the transition in more detail.

New Year Resolutions
Plans for ClientBase in 2011 include major enhancements to Profiles and how family members/passengers are organized within profiles. We are also hoping to include enhancements to Inventory which will make it easier to build new booking offers and link actual usage of cruise space to Sabre Cruises group space booking capabilities.

Live Connect

They Are Back!
TravCorp has completed work on Live Connect in their new booking engine, which means that you can do a Live Connect to Trafalgar, Contiki and Insight again. Brendan Vacations is also part of TravCorp , so you will be able to do a Live Connect with them as well. The documentation for set-up is on our website. These Live Connects work in all ClientBase products.


Regent Seven Seas Online Res.
The Regent Live Connect is getting very positive feedback. Please check it out if you haven't had a chance. Its level of detail makes it one of our best Live Connects.

Another New Year Resolution.
One of our 2011 resolutions is to make Live Connect even more valuable to you. GoGo, Classic and Apple are all coming out with new booking engines, and their participation in Live Connect is dependent on the activity they see from users. If you want suppliers to continue to work in ClientBase, please show your support. Book and not just retrieve, via Live Connect.
