TouchBase – Do You Know About It? Just
returned from another conference where many of our clients
did not recall hearing about TouchBase. Here's the link to an explanation of TouchBase and sample Touches.
Your ClientBase database IS ready for TouchBase. As
you add more data in ClientBase you will see how it
can help you stay in “Touch” with your customers
in many varied ways. Hopefully you’ll never have
another customer tell you they forgot about you when
they booked a trip with a different travel agent. And
- TouchBase does not conflict with your Consortium’s
marketing programs.

Update on Regent Seven Seas Live Connect.
Regent Seven Seas just enhanced their Live Connect to
include Retrieval and Importing of reservations booked
outside of ClientBase. Here is a link to the documentation
required if you don’t already have Regent setup
as a Live Connect provider. It is really a slick live
connect and includes all Service Providers for Air,
Hotels, etc. Get all your reservations into ClientBase
and it helps us for marketing and TouchBase.
What’s the Difference –
You Might Ask - Between Retrieval and Import?
In Live Connect - Retrieval means – you can retrieve
reservations you booked through Live Connect previously.
Importing means – you can import any reservation
you booked via phone or outside of ClientBase previously.
So go get those reservations you booked several months
ago if your Live Connect supports these features. Use
this link for list of Live Connects and features
supported.
Are You Getting All Your Free Cabins?
There is a Trams Crystal Report (TCR10) you can run
that will look at all your cruise bookings for a designated
period and list all the cabins you have booked. Also
includes an indicator to tell you which ones have been
booked in Inventory. Look for it under ClientBase: Misc
Reports | Cruise Departures – Passenger Counts.
Do You Know Your MIAs? Do you have
any idea how many of your past travelers are Missing
In Activities? In other words – not calling you
and you aren’t calling them. Run this report in
TCR10. ClientBase: Management Reports | Client Trips By Year . Congratulations, if you have less than 25%
or your past customers not booking with you in the past
12 months, you are one of the very few!
TSA Formats Remember – if you
save your TSA required data in ClientBase, you can use
it for other things as well. For example, birthdays
are used in Live Connect bookings with almost all booking
engines now, birthdays are use in our TouchBase program,
and birthdays are very important in marketing programs.
